RESPONSE:
At this point in time, the Sheriff's Office has initiated a search for records. We anticipate that either the requested records or a first installment should be available on or about 08/01/21. This preliminary estimate takes into account, among other things, the need to locate and assemble the record(s) requested, notify third persons or agencies affected by the request, and determine whether any record(s) must be redacted in whole or in part.
Please note that the Sheriff's Office reserves the right to utilize an installment methodology in responding to your requests. This methodology is authorized pursuant to RCW 42.56.080. In the event that we elect to utilize an installment methodology, then the above noted estimate should be interpreted as applying to the production of a first installment of records and not interpreted as the estimated date by which we will have completed processing the request.
Please contact us if you have any questions. You can reach me by responding to this e-mail message or by calling 360-417-2432.

Re: Request for Clarification in Public Records Request P012391-072321
Dear Sinyangwe:
The Clallam County Sheriff's Office writes to obtain clarification with respect to your pending public records request P012391-072321. In order that we might process P012391-072321 in a more expeditious manner, we would like you to provide clarification so that we may identify the specific record(s) or category of records that you are seeking to inspect and/or copy. Please provide us with the following clarifications:
Part 4 - the total number of civilian complaints alleging biased policing or racial profiling that were reported and the total number sustained from 2013-2020, separated by year.
Part 8 - the total amount of money paid out in lawsuits and settlements relating to allegations of police misconduct per year from 2013-20. This includes copies of all reports, lists, databases, or individual documents that detail lawsuits brought against the city's police department and the outcome of lawsuits brought against the city's police department including any financial settlement occurring from 2013-20.

It should also include any documents that your department submits to local, state, or federal agencies listing the number and/or status of lawsuits brought against the police department. Our agency does not contain a city police department. Can you please clarify if you are specifically seeking city police data for part of or the entirety of your request? If not, please specify who you are seeking data from? We appreciate your assistance in this matter. Once we hear from you, we will provide you with a revised estimate of time by which we reasonably believe we can process your request. However, if we do not hear from you within 30 days, we will close out your request as abandoned.
Please contact us if you have any questions. You can reach me by responding to this e-mail message or by calling 360-417-2432.
