Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
I am hereby requesting the following records that relate to Clearview AI (https://clearview.ai/), a facial recognition software:
* Any contracts, memorandums of understanding, purchase, orders, invoices, and receipts related to "Clearview" OR "Clearview AI" OR "Clearview A.I."
* All instructional materials, presentations and presentation materials (including recorded video and audio, PowerPoint files, prepared remarks, and slides formats), and other guidance on the use of Clearview AI. This includes:
A) any notes taken during meetings that discussed the use of Clearview AI.
B) any explanations (whether internally or externally generated) of how Clearview AI.
C) any other document that has been used to help explain the use of Clearview AI to any party, including internal documentation, public relations materials, and executive summaries.
* Any emails as well as documents, (including but not limited to PDF, word processing, excel, and slide documents) that mention "Clearview" OR "Clearview AI" OR "Clearview A.I."
Please limit the time frame of all searches to August 1, 2018 to the time that this request is processed.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public in the process of reporting for BuzzFeed News, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. Therefore, I hereby request that all fees are waived in the processing of this request.

Your request requires the need to search for, collect, and appropriately examine a number of separate and distinct records that are demanded in a single request; therefore, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code section 6253(c), the City is asserting its authority to extend the time to reply. This assertion of the City's authority to extend the time to reply shall not serve as a waiver of any privileges or exemptions to disclosure pursuant to applicable provisions of the CPRA and any other applicable statutory and/or case law authority.

We have conducted a thorough search of our files and have responsive information. We have data from a previous CLEARVIEW AI email search with dates 1/1/2019 - 11/30/2020. We are providing these responsive records to you in the form of 5 emails with a total of 20 pdf attachments. Please review and advise if you would like for us to expand the search back to 8/1/2018 - 12/31/2018.
