Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:

- Records created as a result of an investigation into the reported threat against the University of Chicago Institute of Politics (IOP) on October 18, 2022.
- Emails between your department and IOP staff related to the aforementioned threat.

Iranian-American journalist Negar Mortazavi had been scheduled to speak at a panel hosted by the IOP, titled “Taking it to the Streets: the Power of Iranian Women Now.” The morning of October 18, the IOP received a "bomb threat" related to the event. and law enforcement officers brought "bomb-sniffing dogs" to the IOP offices, according to the Chicago Maroon: https://chicagomaroon.com/36976/news/breaking-critics-of-iop-panelist-send-bomb-threat-staff-sent-home/

The Chicago Maroon report states that the threat was sent via email. If you have a copy of that email, please include it in the documents.

Please include any files attachments to the emails as well.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
