To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
The following documents from the Chicago Police Department's Gang Audit directive:
- the Gang Audit Map
- any mapping of gang faction geographies and associates via CLEARmap Caboodle
I am confident that responsive documents will be retrievable due to the following information from the Chicago Police Department Directives page - General Order G10-01-01 - http://directives.chicagopolice.org/directives/data/a7a57b38-141c256b-3e214-1c25-b583fdc4cd349e84.html:
"II. Procedures, Section 4. - The CPIC will:
a. confirm the Gang Audit Map, Gang Faction Associate List, and other documents confirming faction and membership information.
b. manage the gang faction names and Associate List in CLEAR, inclusive of updates.
5. Public Safety Information Technology (PSIT) will provide gang audit information access to Department members through:
a. interactive link capabilities to allow social network analysis;
b. mapping of gang faction geographies and associates via CLEARmap Caboodle; and
c. other analytics and reporting capabilities via CLEAR.
The Gang Audit and related applications will be available to all Department members via CLEAR."
Referencing the last note, please do a cross reference search of the CLEAR database for response records for this request.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
