Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following records:

Please provide data on date and type of animal processed by the Exotic Pet In-Take and Placement program from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2017.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

This 2011 Mayoral Transition Report mentions the "Exotic Pet In-Take and Placement Program" as a program of the Commission on Animal Care and Control (p. 181, https://www.cityofchicago.org/content/dam/city/narr/Transition%20Reports/TransitionReport.pdf)

Dear,

in response to your FOIA request dated on 2/14/18, please be advised that Chicago Animal Care and Control does not have an Exotic Pet Intake & Placement Program therefore CACC does not have such records in our database.

However, we do take various animals including few deemed exotics and we transfer them out .

If you could be more specific as far it is breed, type .... we would be delighted to provide you with any and all available records.
