Hello,

I have received the documents that you sent in response to my request for "Names and locations of basketball courts that were refurbished as part of the 2012 "Slam Dunk" initiative as well as the amount of money spent on refurbishing each court."

I believe that the document satisfies my request, but I had two questions about the documents to clarify that they provide the information I requested.

1) Are the bids included in the response the ones that were accepted.
2) Has all the work described in the bids been completed, or are some of these projects outstanding?

Thank you,
Geoffrey Hing

RESPONSE: Under the rules of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a public agency is required to make available for inspection or copying public records, it does not require that a public agency prepare answers to questions. Kenyon v. Garnels, 184 Ill. App. 3d 28, 540 N.E.2d 11 (4th Dist. 1989). As your e-mail consists of inquires the FOIA does not require us to respond.

However, in the spirit of cooperation, the bids included in the response are the ones that were accepted, and all work has been completed. If you have any questions regarding this response, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Maria Castaneda
