Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the bid submitted in response to the U.S. Army's request for proposals for the site of its Futures Command headquarters, any contracts with third-party providers for services rendered regarding the Futures Command bid, and any marketing budgets regarding Futures Command-related expenditures from August 1st, 2017 to the date this request is processed.
I previously made a similar request on May 12th, 2018, but conditions have changed since then. An Army spokesman recently confirmed the final five cities under consideration, and Chicago is not one of them. See https://www.newsobserver.com/news/business/article212971069.html Therefore, the public records should not be exempted under Section 7(1)(h) at this time.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
