Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
• A copy of the bid submitted by Chicago in response to Amazon's request for proposals for the site of its second headquarters — document(s) which would have been sent between September 1, 2017 through January 20, 2018 — and any supplemental materials provided to Amazon at the same time.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

The FOIA request you are inquiring about was sent to the Office of the City Clerk on 10/3/18 – see screenshot below. All City departments are separate. To inquire about the status of a submitted FOIA request, you must contact the department to which the FOIA request was submitted.
The Office of the City Clerk has received only two FOIA requests from you regarding Amazon requests for proposals: the email you sent on 10/8/18 which we are responding to here, and the FOIA request from 10/3/18. We did not receive a FOIA request from you on 9/19/18.
Please be advised that pursuant to 5 ILCS 140/3(d) of FOIA, a public body has five business days to respond to a FOIA request.
