Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
All "Air Pollution, Odor or Dust Complaint Requests" submitted to Chicago 311 from January 1st, 2022 to the date this request is fulfilled. Please note that I am NOT requesting information that can readily be found on the City of Chicago open data portal, such as the complaint "order" (found here: https://data.cityofchicago.org/Environment-Sustainable-Development/CDPH-Environmental-Complaints/fypr-ksnz) or the complaint "inspection" (found here: https://data.cityofchicago.org/Environment-Sustainable-Development/CDPH-Environmental-Inspections/i9rk-duva). The data that I am requesting is also not listed under the "View Requests" section of the 311 Chicago website (found here: http://311request.cityofchicago.org/).
I am requesting the "complaint request" in the category of "Air Pollution, Odor or Dust," which is the raw intake of "Air Pollution, Odor or Dust Complaint Requests." It is in my understanding that this information is logged into a complaints database and assigned to a field inspector where the information then moves to "orders" and "inspections."
Thus, I request the raw data - in a machine-readable database or spreadsheet format such as Excel, CSV, Access, SQL or XML - pertaining to "Air Pollution, Odor or Dust Complaint Requests." The data should include all fields in the database or spreadsheets that contain non-exempt information. I also request all documentation that describes the layout of the database’s tables and fields, and that provides the definitions of any field names, codes, and abbreviations used in the database. This information may be gathered together in a single document like a data dictionary, entity layout, or user's guide. If that is the case, I request access to and copy of said document.
If the "Air Pollution, Odor or Dust Complaint Requests" are kept as individual files for each request, and not in a database, I request those individual files.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
