Pursuant to Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All incident reports of alleged criminal activity pertaining to the "Unite the Right' rally on August 11-12.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Good morning,

This e-mail was sent to a person other than the FOIA contact and this person was out of the office with an automatic reply saying so. Due to an IT related issue, some time was needed upon his return to evaluate e-mail.

With reference to your FOIA request for: "All incident reports of alleged criminal activity pertaining to the "Unite the Right' rally on August 11-12"

Police incident reports and all other investigative materials are criminal investigative files pursuant to Code of Virginia section 2.2-3706(A)(2)(a), and as such are excluded from the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. They will not be released at this time.

This FOIA matter is considered closed. If you have further questions you may contact me.
