Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All emails to or from Michael Signer including the words “Democrats Abroad” in the heading or body between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018.
This is a new request from Tom Nash, Richmond resident.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Tom - You have requested records of a former elected official. The City estimates that the cost incurred by City staff to search for, access, and supply all of the requested records is likely to be about $60.00. This reflects the time to restore the Microsoft Outlook mailbox from a backup, load the mailbox, build the search index, locate any responsive records (if they exist), and prepare them for delivery. You will only be billed for the actual costs. Would you like us to proceed?

Just to catch up for MuckRock's records, you said you would not waive the fees. We are OK with this as long as long as you inform me before it goes over $60 so I have a chance to decline.

Tom - Another FOIA request required the City to restore the mailboxes of former members of City Council and thus I was able to quickly do the search for any records related to this request. There are no responsive records and there is no cost associated with our response to this FOIA request.
