Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Per General Order 45-18 there is a designated Security Camera Coordinator who is a liaison to the Department of Information and Technology. The Security Camera Coordinator and the Department of Information and Technology jointly coordinate placement and evaluation of the city's security camera system. This request is seeking documents including emails or other written communication between the Security Camera Coordinator and the Department of Information and Technology related to the placement and evaluation of multiple security cameras. For the purpose of this request, please limit the timeframe to January 1, 2020 and the current date this request is processed.
The cameras are located at:
Market Street Parking Garage
4th & E High
2nd NE & Market
2nd NE & E Jefferson
and front of 400-418 E Jefferson
Please reference the attached map with locations starred as locations of the cameras. Please also reference the attached photo which is an example of one of the security cameras.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
