Copies of all emails to or from Charlottesville Police Department Detective Declan Hickey which include the name "Hyer" between February 1, 2019 and April 25, 2019.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

It is not practically possible for the City to provide the requested records, or to determine whether or not they are available, within this initial 5-day FOIA response period, because of the need for legal review. The City will provide a response in accordance with FOIA on or before Monday, May 13, 2019.

We are unable to process your request because we have not been able to determine that you are an entity eligible to make a FOIA request to the City of Charlottesville. According to Virginia Code Section 2.2-3704, public records shall be open to citizens of the Commonwealth, representatives of newspapers and magazines with circulation in the Commonwealth, and representatives of radio and television stations broadcasting in or into the Commonwealth.
