To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any city policy on use and security of city issued devices including cell phones or other portable communication devices. This should include any General Order, memo, bulletin, policy, practice or any other communication by a figure of authority regulating the use of city owned property used for communication. If there is a separate policy or practice for the Charlottesville Police Department, please include both. By "security", it means specifically any steps city personnel should take to secure the device and data as well as authority of anyone to access the devices or data.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
