This acknowledges receipt of your correspondence wherein you requested copies of the below listed records/data purportedly maintained by the Charlotte Housing Authority.

- CSV or XLS list of 2017-2018 Section 8 housing providers (income based housing) Mixed-Income Housing providers, Workforce Housing providers, and Market Rate Housing providers including the name of apartment Landlords, name of apartment complexes, address of complex/apt, and number of available units per location.
We are in the process of determining whether the requested documentation is available for disclosure under the North Carolina Public Records Act. Your request will be granted or denied within one (1) month from the date of this letter.

We have reviewed your request and have determined that clarification is required in order to conduct a diligent search and provide responsive records. Your request is broad, ambiguous, and is unlimited in scope. Further, some of the requested documentation may include confidential information. Please advise me, in writing, of the specific categories of information you are seeking and/or the demographic area so that we may proceed with providing a response to your request.

Please forward a response within ten (10) business days. If a response is not received within 10 business days, we will consider this matter closed and you will have to submit a new public record request.

Thank you for providing the additional clarification. I will update your request, and our staff will conduct a search for responsive records. With that said, I believe that portions of your request asks for information not maintained by the Charlotte Housing Authority and is otherwise publicly available should you undertake a diligent search. To Whom It May Concern:
A search based on your records request has revealed hundreds of potentially responsive records requiring computer extraction of records, review, and/or redaction.
