Pursuant to the North Carolina Public Records Law, G.S. §132-1, I hereby request the following records:

1) The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Drinking Water Sampling Plan(Sampling Plan) dated September 19, 2017.
2) The procurement documents used by CMS to procure and establish scope of work for AECOM Technical Services of North Carolina to conduct the water sampling pursuant to the Sampling Plan in the period of September 2017 to April 2018. Interest is in scope of work and
not proprietary AECOM fee information.
3) The AECOM transmittal of preliminary laboratory sample results received by CMS upon completion of laboratory analysis of samples collected by AECOM in execution of the Sampling Plan for each subject school.
4) The AECOM letter reports generated to report AECOM activities and sampling data in execution of the Sampling Plan which include report narrative, Appendix A ( includes photos, facility inventory and map of sample locations) and Appendix B Comprehensive analytical data from Research & Analytical Laboratories, Inc. in Kernersville, North Carolina (R&A), chain of custody records, to include the full laboratory analytical report) for each subject school.
5) A report of Maintenance work orders generated for the Maintenance shop to isolate/restrict of access to/ or shut off water outlets determined to have lead content above North Carolina Drinking Water Standards (NC DWS) by AECOM's work of the Sampling Plan for each subject school.
6) A report of Maintenance work orders generated for the Maintenance Shop to replace or take out of service water outlets determined to have lead content above North Carolina Drinking Water Standards (NC DWS) by AECOM's work of the Sampling Plan for each school.
7) Any reports from experts requested by CMS to determine the potential health risks to any children or women of child bearing age, who ingested water with elevated lead content at the sources of lead identified in AECOM's work of the Sampling Plan.

NOTE: It is understood that the school maps contained in Appendix A of AECOM's reports show sample locations on maps considered to be sensitive information to CMS. Out of respect for, and a sharing of this concern, the sample maps are not made part of this request. However, the remainder of Appendix A and the complete Analytical Reports contained in Appendix B are subject to this record request.

Please note that: in North Carolina government agencies may not refuse to permit inspection or to provide copies because public records contain some confidential information. Agencies must permit inspection and provide copies of the public, non-confidential parts of these records. N.C.G.S. § 132-6(c)

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
