To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

Any and all records related to the Town of Carver "Citizens-Police Advisory Committee" (aka Citizens Police Advisory Committee) which was formed in 2020. Please include all emails to and from Interim Town Administrator Lafonds' town of Carver account (and any other email accounts that he may have used for work related communication, including the Carver Town Administrators assistant email account, if records exist there which are related to the Citizens Police Advisory Committee) or that mention/include any language relating to this Committee. Please also include any town documents that involve issues relating to the formation of the town of Carver Citizens Police Advisory Committee.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

I have received one email thread (attached), but nothing from the Interim Town Administrator. Can I get a response as to how/why after so many weeks, the Interim Town Administrator has not met his legal obligation here?

Please see the attached email dated September 11, 2020 from the Interim Town Administrator in response to your request dated August 27, 2020. The documents referred to in this email were picked up by you the following week and the Interim Town Administrator was present to ensure you received them. There was no charge for the request.

In addition, I (the Assistant Town Administrator) responded to your request with documentation in the attached email dated 9/4/2020.

Thanks so much for your help with this request! I really appreciate it. Especially for EW who helped me to get the emails after they were sent to the WRONG Shannon. Also thanks for not charging me as it seems like at least half the pages sent over are duplicates & even quad-duplicates.
