Unauthorized Disneyland UAVs

Dear Sir or Madam:

This correspondence is in response to your recent correspondence dated September 7, 2018, which was received by the Office of the Attorney General/California Department of Justice (DOJ) on the same date. You have requested this information under the Freedom of Information Act, which is a federal law applicable to federal, not state, governmental agencies. Therefore, we will treat your request as if it were made under the California Public Records Act, found in California Government Code Section 6250 et seq.

Specifically, you requested the following: “Records relating to or mentioning the alleged unauthorized UAVs over and around Disneyland, as described in the FBI email on the 8th page of the attached document released through FOIA.”

Please note that, absent a request for representation from another agency, DOJ will respond solely on its own behalf, and not on behalf of other agencies. If you wish to review records that are in the custody or control of another state or local agency, you should direct your request to that agency.
We have conducted a search of the DOJ’s legal indexes, knowledgeable persons, and logical places and have been unable to locate any responsive records. If you have additional information on the documents you are seeking, please provide that to us.

Record Description:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request
the following records:

Records relating to or mentioning the alleged unauthorized UAVs
over and around Disneyland, as described in the FBI email on the
8th page of the attached document released through FOIA.

I am a member of the news media and request classification as
such. I have previously written about the government and its
activities, with some reaching over 100,000 readers.

The requested documents will be made available to the general
public, and this request is not being made for commercial
purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you
would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my
request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by
e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
