Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any slideshow, speakers' notes, or other teaching/presentation materials used in the advanced terrorism liaison officer course "Hezbollah & Iran—State Sponsored Extremism." The course was taught in March 2013 and September 2014, and may have been taught in subsequent years as well. See attached files for details.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

I request that I be properly classified as a news media requester. I am a reporter for the National Interest, and I am requesting this information in that editorial capacity.

The National Interest is widely recognized for its reporting, publishing regular features on issues of public interest and importance. Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your prompt response. I greatly appreciate it. However, just to be clear, are you claiming that there are no written or audiovisual presentation *or* teaching materials created for an educational class that NCIRC taught on at least two occasions? For example, have you looked for things like worksheets in addition to a slideshow?

Good Day Matthew—The NCRIC has no document(s) responsive to your request. During that time period, the NCRIC contracted out all training to a third-party vendor. Their lesson plan would have to be approved by the California Peace Officer Standards and Training Division (POST) IF the class were to be POST approved. The lesson plan would also be the property of the owner (proprietor) –the one who taught the class. We used several vendors during this time period.
