Dear Ms. Marshall:

The California Highway Patrol, Office of Community Outreach and Media Relations (COMR), received your California Public Records Act request, dated and received in this office on March 13, 2019.

In your request, you asked for the following, verbatim:

* Any documents related to the California Highway Patrol's event in Sacramento concerning autonomous trucking technology. The event is described in the item entitled "A little bird ..." in this TechCrunch report:
https://techcrunch.com/2019/03/09/transportation-weekly-waymo-unleashes-laser-bear-bird-spreads-its-wings-lyft-tightens-its-belt/

* This request includes, but is not limited to, presentations, permits, schedules, schematics, budget documents, and correspondence between any state agency, employee or representative and any autonomous trucking technology researchers, company employees or representatives invited to the event.

Your request does not reasonably describe an identifiable record; rather, it seeks all records relating to an event without a date or time range. As such, your request is overbroad, does not meet the requirements contained in Government Code section 6253, subdivision (b), and is denied.

If you have any questions or if you need additional information, please contact this office at (916) 843-3310.

Sincerely,

F. CLADER, Director of Communications
