Dear Requester, The City of Torrance has declared an Emergency in response to the COVID-19 crisis ( Proclamation of Existence of A Local Emergency and Resolution No. 2020-11 ). In addition, the State of California has issued a "stay home" order (Executive Order N-33-20) and the County of Los Angeles has issued a "Safer At Home" order (issued 3/21/2020), which are applicable to the City of Torrance.  Accordingly, City Hall is closed to the public and many City Departments, including the City Clerk's office, are operating with reduced staff. This Emergency impacts the City’s ability to provide services that are not immediately essential for the protection of public health and safety. Therefore, in most instances, the City anticipates delays in responding to both previously received and new requests in light of the Declared Emergency . For those who wish to submit a request for public records, please continue to submit your request through https://www.torranceca.gov/government/city-clerk/public-records-request .
