Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Email correspondence (including attachments) from January 1st, 2017 to September 1st, 2022, to and from Michael Steinberg (msteinberg@mednet.ucla.edu) regarding the "Financial Survey Work Group" and/or the "SCAROP Financial Survey".
Correspondence would include members of the 501(c)(6) organization "The American Society for Radiation Oncology" (ASTRO) and/or the "Society of Chairs of Academic Radiation Oncology Programs" (SCAROP). Specific members of these groups include, but are not limited to: Shalom Kalnicki, Chris Schultz, James Metz, Yuhchyau Chen, James Bonner, Louis Potters, Lisa Kachnic, Paul Wallner, Laura Gogal, and Tim Sanders.
The "Financial Survey" is wage and salary data derived from Radiation Oncology departments at academic institutions which receive public funding (NIH grants) and/or reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare.
Dates of "Financial Survey" emails could include, but are not limited to, January 17th, 2017; January 2, 2019; as well as February 17th, 9th, and 22nd, 2019.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
