To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

A Shapefile or CSV containing at minimum the Address Points (house # and street name) and their corresponding Latitude/Longitude. If additional data such as the Unit Number, City, Zipcode, Parcel Id exists they should be included as well.

If this cannot be accessed, the parcel file including situs address would suffice.

Other names for this include: E911 Address Database, Civic Address File, Parcel Dataset, Land Ownership Dataset, Tax Parcels, Address Points.

I also intent to publish the data via the OpenAddresses Publication platform and would request a waiver of fees for the request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Nick Ingalls

Hi Nick,

I received your request for addresses, Assessor's Parcel numbers, etc. and was wondering if you knew that in GIS you can automatically receive layers of addresses? Also, APN numbers are required to be purchased from the Orange County Assessor. Are these the items you are looking for?
Thanks,

Hey Tom,

Could you point me to a link where I can automatically receive layers of addresses? I wasn't able to find anything on the site.

Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick,

We have hired an outside company to provide us with our GIS services and they provide the addresses through their services. However, I looked on the ESRI website for GIS and they have a download page for addresses. This is for folks that use the ArcGIS program.
