Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code ยงยง 6250), I hereby request the following records:
-All department policies for state police officers responding to incidents of domestic violence
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

The Department of California Highway Patrol (Department) received your California Public Records Act (CPRA) request, dated March 1, 2017. Your CPRA request was received by this office on March 1, 2017.
In your request, you asked for documents relating to all department policies for state police officers responding to incidents of domestic violence.
The Department has determined that it possesses public records that are responsive to your request, and has compiled a 44-page set of records.
DUPLICATION FEE
To offset its duplication costs, the Department currently charges requesters a duplication fee of $0.30 per page and $5.00 per compact disc (CD) for records. Therefore, if you wish to receive hard copies of these records, please forward a check in the amount of $12.60 to the California Highway Patrol, Office of Community Outreach and Media Relations, P.O. Box 942898, Sacramento, CA 94298-0001 (Attention: Janelle Dunham). Please make the check payable to the "California Highway Patrol" and note file no. 2017-12 on the check. Alternatively, if you would like to receive electronic copies of these records on CD, please forward a check in the amount of $5.00. Once the Department receives this payment, these records will be prepared and mailed to you on an expedited basis.
