To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, ยง 3(b)), I hereby request the following records regarding Keith Franklin, also known as the "Superfan" of the baseball team of the University of California, Irvine:

1. Records created by the UCI Police department regarding Ken Franklin and his activities at Anteater baseball games. Records requested include, but are not limited to reports, memoranda, and emails regarding Franklin.

2. Any and all photographs taken of Ken Franklin by UC Irvine employees and held by the University.

3. Any and all complaints submitted to UC Irvine regarding Ken Franklin's activities at Anteater baseball games.

4. Copies of all written communication, including but not limited to emails, between representatives of UC Irvine and Wall Street Journal reporters Erica Phillips or Ben Cohen.

In order to have this request fulfilled in a timely matter, I am willing to limit my request to clearly releasable portions of the requested documents. I reserve the right, however, to submit a new request if I am not satisfied with your response.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
