Sincerely,
Conor Skelding

Dear Mr. Skelding:

The contact we have with Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates is from December
2007. The University of California Office of the President (UCOP) is the
Office of Record for the more recent contract; please feel free to submit
your request to UCOP Public Records Office at pra@ucop.edu.

Dear Liane Ko,

Thank you for your reply. I seek the contract for finding a "Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs." Is that the 2007 one? If so, may I obtain that? If not, I will contact the UCOP Public Records Office. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Conor Skelding

Dear Liane Ko,

Thank you so much for your help.

I would like to make a follow-up request regarding this contract: could you also share with me (1) all invoices and/or bills Storbeck/Pimental & Associates sent to the university pursuant to this contract and (2) all information and material furnished to the university by Storbeck/Pimental & Associates regarding the candidate that Storbeck ultimately endorsed?

Sincerely,
Conor Skelding

From: PRA - UC Berkeley

Dear Mr. Skelding:

This will acknowledge and respond to your Public Records Act (PRA) request
below.

Attached is the responsive document regarding invoices. We redacted the
names of unsuccessful candidates for employment to protect their privacy.
These redactions are permissible under Government Code Section 6254(c)
which permits the withholding of "personnel, medical, or similar files, the
disclosure of which would constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal
privacy.”

Government Code Section 6255 which permits the University to

redact
records where the public interest in withholding the information clearly
outweighs the public interest in disclosure.

The public interest in
redacting
the record in order to protect the privacy of those individuals outweighs
any public interest in disclosure.

The purpose of the PRA is to provide information about the conduct of the
University’s business, not to disclose personal information about its
unsuccessful candidates for employment.

In response to item #2, we have completed our search and found no
responsive document. The search firm does not endorse any particular
candidates.

The release of this document completes this records request.

Liane Ko
