From: Beryl Lipton

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, ยง 3(b)), I hereby request the following records:

All contracts (and their amendments) and memorandums of understanding entered into by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for services and activities related to the San Diego Correctional Facility (https://www.cca.com/facilities/san-diego-correctional-facility)

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Beryl C.D. Lipton

Dear Ms. Lipton,

I am the Public Records Act Coordinator for the Office of Public and Employee Communications. I am concerned about the emails I am receiving from you today requesting status updates on numerous requests from you for records. We responded to all five of your requests and yet it seems by your comments that you did not receive any of our emails. I would also like to inform you at this time that we do not waive fees for Public Records Act requests.

As to the status of this request I am attaching the letter sent to you on December 26, 2014 informing you that we have no such records. Your request has been closed.

Thank you.
