This email is to acknowledge your Public Records Act request submitted on August 19th regarding the employment contract for the Director of Career Development, Bineti Vitta. Appropriate University of California offices are being notified of your request and a search for the information is underway. All information identified as responsive to your request will be reviewed, and made available for your access, in accordance with relevant law and University policy. It is possible that portions of these records will be considered exempt from disclosure, however we will make that determination after a full review of the records.
Please note, the UC Davis campus remains closed due to COVID-19; our current response window is approximately 8-10 weeks. The estimated date for production of the requested records is on or around October 14, 2020. If the records become available prior to this date, we will contact you with additional information.
As soon as these records become available, I will contact you with the total number of records identified. The California Public Records Act allows agencies to make records available "upon payment of fees covering direct costs of duplication." (Government Code § 6253(b)). The charge is $0.20 per page for copies. Should your total request result in fewer than 25 copies, we will waive this fee and forward the records to you directly as requested. Should these records total 25 or more, we will contact you first and give you the opportunity to review the records before incurring copying fees or ask you to forward a check in the amount of the copying charge prior to our sending you the records. Additionally, if these records are available electronically we will waive this fee as well.
