New York Freedom of Information Law Request: Oath and Bond information

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

Copies of oaths of offices for each of the current board members.
Copies of or information regarding surety or public school system faithful performance bonds and contact information for the bonding agent covering the board members as required by Subdivision 2 of Section 11 of the Public Officers Law and Subdivision 2(d) of Section 170 of the Commissioner's Regulations.

A photocopy of your Public Official surety bond that is required by the state of New York under Universal Citation: NY Pub Off L § 11.
A photocopy of your Public Official Blanket Surety Bond if applicable.
A photocopy of your Surety Liability Insurance policy if applicable.
A photocopy of the Power of Attorney for the bonding company.
A photocopy of the Power of Attorney for blanket bond for the bonding company.

I am a private citizen seeking information concerning your public official surety bond that you are required by the state of New York to obtain before swearing the oath of office.
New York Universal Citation: NY Pub Off L § 11 (4): Notwithstanding the provisions of this section or any other law, general or special, requiring an official undertaking or bond to be conditioned substantially to the effect that a state officer, clerk or employee will faithfully discharge his duties and promptly account for and pay over all moneys or property received by him in his official capacity, the comptroller may, in his discretion, waive the requirement of procuring such official undertaking or bond, and the expense of procuring an official undertaking or bond shall not be a charge upon the state unless the comptroller shall first have approved the necessity of requiring such official undertaking or bond.
Public Official Surety Bond requests fall under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. § 552, The Sunshine Act 5 U.S.C. § 552b, New York Freedom of Information Law (FOIL), and by law you are obligated to supply me with this information.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

If there is any confusion on the bond, It may be covered in the "Faithful Performance of Duty Coverage" section of your "Crime and Fidelity" policy. Providing a copy of this Insurance policy would be satisfactory for this request.
