Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:

All documents relating to usage of traffic camera technology by the Brookline Police Department.

This request for records includes but is not limited to documents indicating:
-receipts of traffic camera equipment purchase and installation;
-scope of traffic camera deployment;
-description of the types of cameras deployed;
-location of cameras;
-purposes for which traffic camera technology is employed;
-means of handling and storing recorded data;
-extent and timeline for recorded data storage; and
-protocols and extent of camera data sharing between Brookline Police Department and other local, state, federal government agencies.

Please include any relevant documents, including but not limited to memos, reports, emails, meeting minutes and contracts.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Any and all information with regards to the CIMS Cameras can be found on the Brookline Police Department Website at the following link: http://www.brooklinepolice.com/167/CIMS-Cameras

Boston's Office of Emergency Management handled all the contracts and sub-contracts regarding the CIMS Cameras, and any information in regards to "receipts of traffic camera equipment purchase and installation," would have to be requested through them.

As all information is available to the public online there is no fees associated with this request. Please note in the future if you have any requests regarding BPD policies and procedures they can all be found on the BPD website: http://www.brooklinepolice.com

If there is no further questions regarding this subject, the Department will consider this request closed.
