To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

-Any and all emails relating to the resignation of Tommy Chang from June 8th to June 29th.

-Any and all emails relating to the lawsuit filed by the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice and widely reported (https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/24/us/boston-superintendent-resignation/index.html), from June 14th to June 28th.

-Any and all records relating to hiring Tommy Chang

-Any and all records relating to the IRS audit that found some schools were mismanaging funds, reported in the Boston Herald (http://www.bostonherald.com/news/local_coverage/herald_bulldog/2017/11/irs_slams_use_of_student_funds_in_boston_schools).

-Any and all internal memos about the plan to change school start times (http://www.wbur.org/edify/2017/12/07/boston-schools-schedule-changes).

-Any and all school board notices.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Komatsoulis

Good Morning Carolyn:

It appears this request is identical to that one that you made to the
Office of the City Clerk. Please be advised that the response from the
City will be on behalf of all relevant City departments. Please see the
response I sent moments ago for more information.

From: Mayor's Office

Good Morning Carolyn:

I ask that you resolve this request as the Mayor's Office has no responsive
records; the Boston Public Schools has an identical request and will
respond under separate cover. Please not for future references that you
need only send ONE request for records from City of Boston Departments and
you may send that request directly to me.

I would be happy to discuss this matter if you wish, my directly phone
number is found below.

Yours truly,

Shawn A. Williams, Esq.
