To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, ยง10, I hereby request the following records:

Any emails, memos, or presentations either by or to the City of Boston related to building a soccer stadium in the city's boundaries.

Pertinent keywords in any email or memo might include "soccer-specific stadium," "soccer stadium," "New England Revolution," "Revolution," "Kraft Group," "Krafts," "Kraft Sports Group," "Brian Bilello," "Jonathan Kraft," "Robert Kraft," or simply "stadium."

I would be interested in information from the past 12 months (starting July 1, 2013), with priority placed on any information from January 1, 2014 onward.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Adam Vaccaro

To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on June 26, 2014. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

Mr. Vaccaro:

Our office did receive your public records request dated June 26, 2014 and
it was promptly forwarded to the Boston Redevelopment Authority for a
response.

I did touch base with the Acting Director's Office about this request and
as of today, I have not received any information.

A soccer stadium proposal in Boston does not seem probable at this point
and I do not remember any recent publicity and/or media coverage about a
proposal to build a soccer stadium in Boston. The New England Revolution
soccer team plays all of its games at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA which
is a separate municipality. Gillette Stadium is also the home of the 3
Time Super Bowl Champions New England Patriots

This might be the reason I have not heard back from the BRA about your
request. I will touch base with you in the next few days once I get a
response from that office.

Thank you!

Thanks for the note Alex.

I appreciate what you're saying, and if there are no records then hey, there are no records.

However, the mayor has been in the press recently--with the Boston Business Journal--saying the city is interested in possibly bringing the Revolution to Boston. Just to clarify. Adam,

Thank you for reaching out to the City of Boston and the Boston
Redevelopment Authority. We have received your request for records
pertaining to ["Revolution" "Kraft Group" "Krafts" "Kraft Sports Group"
"Brian Bilello" "Jonathan Kraft" "Robert Kraft" or "Stadium" from July 1st
2013 till the present]. We have >536,820 related documents for this
request. I've visually scanned these documents and found the vast majority
of them to be news bulletins and advertisements. I also found several
internal correspondence about "stadiums". Sometimes with a quick phone
call, I can help narrow someone's search to yield more relevant results. If
you're interested, I would be happy to set up a time to talk.

Below is my information. Let me know how you would like to proceed and feel
free to reach out directly for any future requests.
