To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:
a) A copy of the City of Boston's DMCA policy;
b) Any takedown notices received by Jose Gonzalez, Designated Agent from December 1998 to the day this request is processed
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

City Clerk Maureen Feeney forwarded your recent email to me relative to your Public Records Request.
In your request, you ask for a copy of the DMCA policy for the City of Boston. Could you be more specific relative to DMCA????
Yes, I am referring to policy and takedown notices related to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Some details available here: http://www.cityofboston.gov/copyright/socialmedia.asp
That is better!!!!! At least now, we can proceed to respond to your request.
On or about October 1, 2013 I was forwarded a copy of a public records request you made to the Office of the City Clerk for a copy of the City of Boston's DMCA policy as well as any DMCA takedown notices received by Jose Gonzalez from December 1998 to the present. Attached please find documents that are responsive to your request. I am unaware of and have been unable to locate any takedown notices. Given the time period of your request, the City will require additional time to research the matter further and I will forward to you any such notices that are located.
Thank you for responding to my request. The file that you sent could not be opened. Could you please send again? I believe it was saved in the wrong file format -- .doc rather than .pdf, I guess.
Attached please find a pdf version of the document I sent in my last email.
Thank you for re-sending the policy. Please keep me updated about the takedown notices.
