Pursuant to the Alabama Public Records , I hereby request the following records:

Any and all documents relating to policies, use, and directives involving the Metro Area Crime Center (MACC). This should include, but is not limited to, the following:

- Internal use policies involving the MACC
- Data retention policies involving the MACC (and data within)
- Any brochures or literature for local banks/businesses regarding configuring cameras with the MACC (other known as Vulcan Watch)

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

BPD is a partner with MACC, but MACC is operated by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The information you are seeking would seem to be available with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and not the City of Birmingham's police department.

In addition, please refer to https://www.birminghamal.gov/recordsrequest for public records request from the city. Using the online form will connect your request with the appropriate staff.
