Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Regarding the Esperanza Court Program in Bexar County, TX, from 2014 to the present:
- # of people were prosecuted for prostitution-related offenses in Bexar County, month by month
- # of people were sent to the court program, month by month
- # of people graduated from the court program, month by month
- # of people prosecuted for prostitution-related charges and who were not offered the court program, month by month
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The Bexar County District Attorney's Office received your request for information regarding the Esperanza Court Program. The request seeks statistical information from 2014 to the present.
Information regarding the Esperanza Court Program prior to 2016 requires manual compilation. Due to the time involved in compiling the request, we will provide you with a cost estimate letter prior to fulfilling the request. Texas Government Code ยง 552.2615. The cost for staff labor is $15.00 per hour, and overhead is an additional 20% of the labor charge. We will require full payment before any work is done.
There is a less expensive and quicker way for you to obtain this information. You may narrow your request to a shortened time frame, from 2016 to present. Although this clarification letter is not the actual cost estimate, we will provide you a cost estimate once we have received clarification of your request.

This email contains information regarding your open records request concerning the Esperanza Court Program in Bexar County, TX from 2016 to the present.
Regarding the number of people prosecuted for prostitution-related offenses in Bexar County, please see the attached document.
Regarding placement into the Esperanza Court Program, please see below for information by year. Referrals rejected/not offered the program include individuals who later decided they did not want to participate in the Program.

The Esperanza Court Program graduated nine individuals in December 2016, and four individuals in March 2018.
Regarding your request for information from 2014 to 2016, it is our estimate that it would take ten hours to compile the requested information. Please let me know we should continue to process that portion of your request.
