To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act , I hereby request the following records:

All contracts (and their amendments) and memorandums of understanding entered into by Bexar County and the Bexar County Sheriff's Office for services and activities related to the Central Texas Detention Facility (http://www.geogroup.com/maps/locationdetails/21)

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello,

This public records request is being forwarded to your office for processing. Confirmation of receipt and an estimated date of completion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Good afternoon, Beryl:
I apologize you had to wait almost a month to be told to look somewhere else for the information – that’s certainly not in the spirit of the law. So, I have forwarded your request to the Purchasing Department and asked them to rush the response. It shouldn’t take but a couple days and I will keep you posted if it takes longer.
In the future, you can request documents through our online form found toward the bottom of this webpage<http://www.bexar.org/284/Government-Transparency>. The requests submitted through the site come directly to me and the assistant public information officer, then we make sure they get to the proper custodian of the records being sought within a day. It helps people avoid the bureaucratic run around.
Sincerely,
Laura
