Pursuant to the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”), Ark. Code Ann. § § 25-19-101 to 25-19-109, I hereby request the following records:

Information related to the current bulk fuel contracts for the county and/or highway department (gasoline, diesel, etc.). Documents would include; RFP that was used for current contract, Bid tabulations, Award, and amendments. If a fuel contract does not exist, please provide County fuel purchasing procedures

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Good morning… Again, apologies for the lateness in responding.

We are following the state statutes for purchase of motor fuels and accessories (ACA 14-22-105). We are considered a state agency for the purpose of purchasing gas, oil and other motor fuels, etc. and are not required to go to bid.

We have regular pricing by the various vendors in the area that deliver fuel to make certain we are getting a good price. The request for fuel is made by the Road Department for their tanks and by the Sheriff’s office for their requests.
