To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

All reports on stolen/recovered vehicles in Bellingham from December 4, 1978 to December 30, 1978. To include owner names, the officer/s that investigated the case.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

GERALDINE HOUDE

I would like to remind the Bellingham Police Department that this December will mark 40 years in which this case that you are saying is "open and active", remains unsolved. At this point I would like to thank you for your efforts on the case, but will need to continue for my own purpose to obtain records.
I would also like to respectfully ask that you submit to me the names of all detectives assigned to Theresa's case and the years they had the files.

Thank you,
Geraldine Houde

Thank you for your response, I did get the employee records and I see you don't have the information regarding stolen vehicles. I am trying to find out how to shut off the automatic Muckrock request. There was an "anonymous" person that came forward regarding a stolen vehicle around the time Theresa was found. His concern was that the car was not processed as previously stolen vehicles were processed. He reported the officers were Ed Ayotte and Paul Frain. He believed Theresa could have been in that the stolen vehicle at some point. This information was passed to the DA
