To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I would like to access records the county has in relation to its Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) software. I would like to see a request for proposal if one was created, proposals from CAMA vendors, and a contract between the selected vendor and the county.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

This request is filed by Tom Nash, a citizen of Virginia, in coordination with William Dittman.

From: Bedford County Commissioner Of Revenue

Good morning,

Bedford County does not respond to out-of-state FOIA requests, so we will need Mr. Nash's address to verify residency in order to move forward with this request.

Thank you!

From: Bedford County Commissioner Of Revenue

Good morning,

Attached is all the documentation the Commissioner could find on the Proval (CAMA) system that they use. As you can see, the documentation is pretty old and they are still using this system. It is my understanding that these agreements have been extended and at times the software has been updated, but neither the IT Department nor the Commissioner’s office know where those extension agreements are now. The Commissioner also stated they have not issued an RFP for anything new.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

rigitte Luckett
