Use of Force Reports

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

On Monday June 8th in a workshop with City Council, Beacon Police Department Lieutenant Figlia mentioned that in the last 2 years there have been nearly 60 incidents where a use of force report would needed to have been filed. He also described a review process wherein each report has an accompanying interview conducted by a supervisor. I am requesting all use of force reports from 2017 to todays date, June 9th, and any accompanying documentation, including interviews, photographs or videos. I am also requesting the accompanying review of the incident by a supervisor as well as any accompanying documentation, including interview transcripts, body camera footage, or surveillance video.

Responsive documents might include:
- Transcripts of Interviews produced as a result of an investigation of reported Use of Force Incident,
- Images, Videos, Audio produced as a result of an investigation of reported Use of Force Incident - these can be from Body Cameras or Surveillance Videos.
- The report that was filed as a result of the incident.
- The accompanying review of each report.

I also am requesting expedited processing as these records will help contextualize Beacon Police's recent statements regarding the ongoing local protests over the killing of George Floyd.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
