Pursuant to Maryland's Public Information Act ("PIA"), I hereby request the following records:

All current policies maintained by the department regarding use of force.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 30 business days, as the statute requires.

You have made a request for public records pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act (MPIA), which is the General Provisions Article, § 4-101, et seq., of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Baltimore Police Department has multiple policies concerning.
The General Provisions Article, § 4-206 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the official custodian of public records may charge an applicant a reasonable fee for the search for, preparation of, and reproduction of a public records. The cost for the search copying, transferring to a C D and mailing is $25.00. If you would like a copy of the available documents remit check or money order in the amount of $25.00 payable to the Director of Finance; mail the payment to the Baltimore Police Department’s Office Legal Affairs, 100 N Holiday St., Room 100, Baltimore, Md. 21202 If this office does not receive payment within thirty days of the date of this letter, this file will be closed.

Please note this request was not received by the office of Legal Affairs and the administrater of MPIA requests before December 01, 2015
