Dear Records Officer,
Pursuant to Maryland's Public Information Act ("PIA"), I hereby request copies of the incident reports with the following numbers:
I am a reporter with The Trace, a 501c3 nonprofit news media outlet headquartered in New York City. I am making this request through MuckRock's public records request management service, which I use to better track and manage requests. As a member of the news media, I am requesting the records for newsgathering purposes, not commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request and send me an invoice. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Any records or correspondence can be sent to me by replying to this email or by sending them to my company email account: email@example.com
If records or correspondence must be sent via standard mail, please send them to:
Attn: Brian Freskos
428 Broadway, 4th Floor
New York, NY 10013
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.
C: (919) 522-6354
The cost of offense reports are $10 each. The preferred method of requesting offense reports is via a request form sent to the Baltimore Police Department's Community Correspondence Unit.
