Pursuant to Maryland's Public Information Act ("PIA"), I hereby request the following records:

I am requesting daily rundown sheets (i.e. patrol assignments) for each Baltimore city police district between the dates of June 1, 2017 and August 15, 2017, including the following information:

- District name
- Patrol assignment date or time period
- Officers assigned to patrol the district, including full name, rank, and sequence number

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

If access to the records I am requesting will take longer than this amount of time, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records.

If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law. If you determine that some portions of the requested records are exempt from disclosure, please provide me with the portions that can be disclosed.

On August 15th 2017, you submitted a request for public records to the Document Compliance Unit (“DCU”) of the Baltimore Police Department (“BPD”), for, “daily rundown sheets (i.e. patrol assignments) for each Baltimore city police district between the dates of June 1, 2017 and August 15, 2017, including the following information:

The responsive record(s) are maintained by the Legal Affairs Division of BPD. To this end, please find “District Staffing Charts” attached. This record was provided by the Legal Affairs Division as responsive to your request. The custodian has advised that as the only staffing rundowns that could be located.

Nothing in this response is intended to indicate that any records sought from the BPD exist or to waive any privileges held by the BPD. You have the right under PIA § 4-1B-04 to contact the Public Access Ombudsman to mediate any dispute(s) you may have with this response. You may also, contest this response by filing a petition for Judicial Review in Circuit Court pursuant to PIA § 4-362.
