To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The McLennan County Sheriff's department has been receiving "donations" from different individuals and businesses for the "Cold Case Squad", these "donations" do not seem correct to me and I am wondering if they are registered as a Charity? Has the Cold Case Squad of McLennan County registered as a Charity, and if so what papers were filed.
Here is an example of the donations. I have a friend who is in the Cold Case Squad files but they keep investigating the ones that the "donations" seem t buy.

Under the Open Records Act, does the Internal Revenue Service have any papers or registration as a Charity or organization to receive "donations"?
