Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:
Full and complete database of automatic vehicle location (AVL) data in its native electronic format, with related metadata, including database schema.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Pursuant to RCW 42.56.520 and Doe I v. Washington State Patrol, 80 Wn. App. 296 (1996), this letter acknowledges receipt of your public record request addressed to the City of Auburn received by this office on February 8, 2016.
Please be advised that clarification is needed in order to respond to your request. The City of Auburn hereby requests that you clarify your request in writing to enable the City to locate the specific record[s] that you are seeking. Your request was sent specifically to the Police Department. Is your request for police vehicles only or all City vehicles?
Please be advised, that pursuant to RCW 42.56.520, the City of Auburn is not required to respond to your original request absent the clarification.
