Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All pilot programs, studies, research, white papers, internal presentations, data and documents regarding the effectiveness or validation of PredPol either within the agency, or at other organisations.
Similarly, any data, research or documents concerning PredPol’s value for money or return on investment, compared to other policing methods.
Predpol to mean any software, hardware or systems provided to the agency by PredPol Inc, or its agents or representatives, whether free of charge or at cost.
Search to run from 1/1/2012 to the current date.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

The following is in response to your Open Records Act request, received by the Atlanta Police Department. We are conducting a diligent search for records responsive to your request; and we estimate that if there are any records responsive to your request, they can be made available in 3-4 weeks. It is important to note that the estimated time frame and charges are subject to revision either up or down depending upon the actual time spent searching for, retrieving, and redacting the records as well as the actual number of pages of records that are retrieved. Payment is not required at this time. Exempt material will be redacted pursuant O.C.G.A. 50-18-72.
Pending Cases
Please be advised that pursuant O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72(a)(4), anything other than the initial incident report is exempt from release for cases that are pending investigation and/or adjudication.

If you would like for the Central Records Unit to mail you the requested report, please mail your request along with a payment of $5.00 (Check or Money Order made payable to the City of Atlanta) to the Central Records Unit at the above address. Please note, if you are requesting an Accident Report you are required to provide a statement of need (Pursuant O.C.G.A. 50-18-72).

Discs $1.00 per disc (CDs, DVDs)
Mailing Fee $5.00 flat fee
Certified Report Fee $3.00/certified report flat fee
Record retrieval, review, and copying fee The hourly wage of the lowest paid person who can retrieve, review and copy records multiplied by the number of hours it takes to retrieve, review, and copy the requested records (Typically this wage is between $15.00 - $21.00/hour. Please note there will be no charge for first 15min)

We discontinued use of Predpol in 2016. Predpol was provided to our agency by the Atlanta Police Foundation, which is a separate entity. The only documents I have been able to locate, related to Predpol, are attached to this email.
