In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

- All complaints relating to use of force incidents (already completed)
- Use of Force Reports (Form APD 809)
- All monthly lists of all incidents with a “17F” pull-in as maintained by the Communications Section
- All electronic communications (such as email) relating to use of force incidents
Thank you

This is a duplicate inquiry. See response sent to you at 11:55 on today’s date.

My apologies for being unclear, but I have made three separate inquiries. The follow-up I sent earlier today (11:55) was in reference to an inquiry pertaining to the period of January 1, 2020 through June 15, 2020. This inquiry pertains to January 1, 2019 through June 15, 2019. The third inquiry (which we recently corresponded in regards to the cost of providing body cam footage) pertains to June 15, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
If it makes sense, I am not opposed to rolling all three of these inquiries up into one. My goal in splitting them up was to receive responses as they were available for each time period. If that creates an undue burden upon you or your staff, please do merge the requests.
Thank you
From: Atlanta Police Department
Zachary,
We have received your inquiry. We will respond once we have the files and can provide a cost estimate. Please respond to my email from 11:55 am today where I provided a cost estimate on the review and redacting of the first set of reports. We will not move forward on any of these until you accept the proposed charges. We will get back to you on any that we have not responded to.

Zachary,
As you offered, please put any and all requests into one inquiry. This back and forth with long emails from you, is becoming difficult to manage and time consuming. Separate your requests by date time frames and re-list the items you say you need from each date range. We want to you help you and we want this series of emails off of our long ORR list. The sooner we can get clarification, the sooner our open records team can gather documents and we can send you the cost estimates. I believe we have already resolved most of your 2019 request, at least in communication. And again, we won’t move forward on redacting the current items until we receive your approval on the fee estimate.
Thanks!

The three time frames I have previously requested are:
- January 1, 2019 through June 15, 2019
- June 15, 2019 through December 31, 2020
- January 1, 2020 through June 15, 2020
Please merge these time frames together to cover:
- January 1, 2019 through June 15, 2020
The same record request apply the entire time period:
- Use of Force Reports (Form APD 809) [pending redaction for June 15, 2019 through December 31, 2019 period]
- All complaints relating to use of force incidents [completed for June 15, 2019 through December 31, 2019 period]
- All monthly lists of all incidents with a “17F” pull-in as maintained by the Communications Section
Please feel free to consolidate our email threads however you like, I will reply to whichever you use.
Thank you

I agree to the aforementioned fee estimate of $392.31 for Use of Force Reports during the June 15, 2019 through December 31, 2019 period. I approve a total fee of $1500.0 for this entire request without further notice. If the cost is to exceed $1500.00, please let me know and we'll cross that bridge if we get there.
From: Atlanta Police Department
Ok, thank you. I will have someone from our office arrange to get payment from you. In the interim, we will get started on the redaction of the first set of reports that are here in our office. We will update you on the others.

Thank you Rhonda. I'm dropping a check in the mail today. Attaching a photo in case it helps connect it to the right ORR.
