From: Paxtyn Merten

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

• A copy of the bid submitted by Atlanta in response to Amazon's request for proposals for the site of its second headquarters — document(s) which would have been sent between September 1, 2017 through January 20, 2018 — and any supplemental materials provided to Amazon at the same time.

Other finalist cities have provided us with the bids they submitted, and they typically look something like this: https://www.muckrock.com/foi/boston-3/amazon-hq2-bid-44971/#file-161828

Please provide responsive materials on a rolling basis. If you have any questions, you can reach us at 617-299-1832.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Paxtyn Merten

From: Atlanta Mayor's Office

You should direct this request to the Georgia Department of Economic Development who handled Georgia’s bid for HQ2.

Hi Mr. Smith,

I reached out to the Georgia Department of Economic Development as well, but wanted to see if the mayor's office was in possession of any documents responsive to this request. Did Atlanta's bid pass through the mayor's office before the Department passed it onto Amazon? Or did the mayor's office provide any documents to the Department to be a part of the bid? If you are in possession of the bid or any documents included in the bid, those would be relevant to my request and should be provided.

Thank you,

Paxtyn

Again, to be clear, we did not handle the bidding process. The Georgia Department of Economic Development handled the bid. They published materials not too long ago at this link: http://www.georgia.org/amazonhq2/<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.georgia.org%2Famazonhq2%2F&data=02%7C01%7Cmismith%40AtlantaGa.Gov%7C292ca85604b84c34f3f008d649c59ac1%7C031a550af1f34b629c643ef02c7798a5%7C0%7C1%7C636777510420606736&sdata=XTAYJ9WKvrDUZ7OHnpQNhMStmRXHuFpdUhTq4BDpEMM%3D&reserved=0>

Again, there are no responsive documents to your request.
