This is a request for records pursuant to the Arizona Public Records Law from WIRED magazine, a leading media outlet on technology for more than 25 years. This request is being made for newsgathering, not commercial, purposes.

WIRED hereby requests the following records between September 2020 and the current date:

1. Any and all documents and electronic communications—including but not limited to emails, presentations, and memos—that mention the software bug in the Department of Correction's ACIS inmate management software affecting SB1310 implementation and described in this news article: https://kjzz.org/content/1660988/whistleblowers-software-bug-keeping-hundreds-inmates-arizona-prisons-beyond-release.

2. Any and all electronic communications, including full message threads and attachments, between Department of Corrections staff and employees or representatives of the software vendor Business & Decision, North America, including email addresses ending with @bdnna.com or @businessdecision.us.

Because this request is being made by a news organization on a matter of considerable public interest, I ask that you waive any usually applicable fees. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
