Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
I would like to access records the county has in relation to its Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) software. I would like to see a request for proposal if one was created, proposals from CAMA vendors, and a contract between the selected vendor and the county.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

To make things as easy as possible, I will tell you that we have never released a RFP for a CAMA system. At least 15 years ago, our current CAMA was added to the software used by the Commissioner of Revenue since the early/mid 1990s. We have thought of replacing it in the last few years and have contacted a few vendors for demos, but we never moved beyond those inquiries. I have information from at least one of those vendors that would be provided in response to this FOIA request.
Please let me know if I should proceed or plainly state that you are withdrawing the FOIA request. Thank you.
